The main character is rather unlikable thanks to his Epic Middle School Humor. There's a rape joke (why??) and some other sexual allusions, but not a single masturbation joke. Cowardly! The NASA scenes are often kind of embarrassing to read. It's at least relatively positive in its inclusion of the Chinese space agency, though they are still left on a cynical collectivism vs individualism shot. It otherwise strikes a decent balance between science-y info dumps and actual entertainment.
